About This Concert
The Lament Program is a sacred concert experience that invites congregations to engage with grief, justice, and God's heart for the vulnerable through music and Scripture.
This program began during the COVID-19 pandemic as a response to collective grief and isolation. While that season has passed, the need for lament continues. Our world still groans under the weight of injustice, tragedy, and suffering—and the Church still needs sacred space to grieve honestly and hope deeply.
In Romans 8, we're reminded that creation groans and the Spirit intercedes for us with wordless prayers. Lament is part of that sacred groaning—a powerful form of action through which we join God's heart for a hurting world.
This program can be tailored to your congregation's needs. We work with churches to focus the concert on specific areas of lament and justice that resonate with your community:
General biblical lament - A survey of grief and hope throughout Scripture
Justice-focused themes - Partnering with organizations like World Relief to lament for refugees, immigrants, or other vulnerable populations
Contextual concerns - Addressing specific crises, tragedies, or seasons your congregation is walking through
Whether presented as a benefit concert raising funds for justice work or as a formative worship experience, The Lament Program creates space for honest grief while pointing toward the enduring hope found in God's presence and justice.

Bring The Lament Program to Your Church
We are currently booking performances of The Lament Program for churches ready to engage lament, beauty, and justice. Each concert can be tailored to your congregation's specific needs and context.
We also plan to record a professional version of The Lament Program to make this resource available to churches and individuals beyond live performances. Your support helps make both live concerts and the recording project possible.
